Here’s the deal folks. I was recently offered the opportunity to use and review a brand new Lenovo A70Z all in one computer. Having not heard much from Lenovo in the past few years, I accepted the offer, just to see what they were cooking. Though I entered into this with little opinion on Lenovo, I’ve left with much more.
First off, this computer is beautiful. It comes with a 19 inch screen and the entire computer built into it. The colors of the screen are vivid and the viewing angle is pretty great. Also, only 1 plug means it’s easy to set up. My initial opinion is that this is an easy computer to get used to, and a hard one to give up once you have.
Then I got into the hardware of the computer. It’s a snappy 2.93 Ghz Intel Core 2 Duo processor, that out clocks my own AMD tri-core 2.9 Ghz processor. It comes with 2 Gb ram standard, and is upgradeable to 4 gb. The geek in me would love 4 gb, but I’ve honestly found no use for more. It also sports a 320 Gb hard drive, and a pretty great front-mounted webcam for video chatting (which my fiance and I have tested many times). She loves the quality of the Lenovo camera.
And with stereo speakers and wifi built in, a dvd-burner, and Windows 7 to manage it all, it’s the perfect computer for just about anyone. It takes up little space on your desk, and can be out of your way when not in use. I’ve got to say, after not hearing much from Lenovo in the past few years, they’ve really built a machine to get my attention. I could definitely see this computer being the front end machine for any small business, with it’s small footprint and large power.
I do have one complaint though. It will probably be minor to most of you, but any super-serious computer user like myself will understand. It has no secondary monitor option. There is no video out to plug in a second monitor. Now for many of you, this may not matter. But for a user who’s main computer is outputting to a 26 inch monitor with a 20 inch monitor on each side, this is a bit weak. But as an all in one, you have to realize that that isn’t the ultimate goal of a machine like this. This thing is a get up and go kind of machine. And as such, it works fantastically.
If you’ve made it this far in the review, I have great news. In just a few weeks I’ll be giving this machine away to a lucky ready. So stay tuned for your chance to win this awesome computer. What would you use this computer for? Leave a comment below and share with us…

I would give this computer to my wife of 40 years.
I would give this to my dad. This machine sounds very reliable. ty
I'll use to write my first novel!!
This is why I need the Lenovo A63!! Please Follow the link!! http://bit.ly/afh4ul I am living on borrowed time!
My wife would love this as I got a laptop recently so she would appreciate a new machine for herself.
I am starting my own photography business, and this computer would be perfect for photo edits. I currently use Scott's laptop for this, but soon it will not work because he is going back to seminary and will need that laptop for class. It would also be awesome because it would help to conserve our shared desk space in our office.

This computer would make my life a lot simpler. I currently share with my husband and his work. Our comp is 9 years old, slow and very much out of date. Not to mention bulky! It would be awesome to have something a lot more current and viable!
This sounds like a great system. I don't know how old my computer is but I've been having a lot of computer woes lately. This would help me out a lot. I could use it to keep track of my bills, recipes, keep in touch with relatives and friends, research purchases of all kinds, enter contests and sweepstakes, plan vacations, and the list goes on ….
Let me tell you: My husband is running his first campaign for prosecutor in our home town. It is not without miraculous intervention that we have gotten where we are, but it is a looonnnnggg story. Anyway, our computer, which is our life line to the campaign, is on it's last leg. Recently, all the programs just disappeared! Just. Like. That. No warnings, nothing. We are able to use the Internet and Microsoft Word, which coincidentally enough is what each document, including brochures, mailers, pamphlets, ect. is on. So it's working for now and I am just praying that it continues until after the election in November. A little about my husband.,..he is most definitely not a politician, he wants to serve his home community by aggressively prosecuting people who are making meth and selling it to our children. It is an epidemic here and affecting so many. The opportunity to run kind of fell in his lap and he jumped at the chance, even though it is a little risky for his career if he doesn't get elected. AND we are both in our twenties, so we qualify, right? Just kidding. Anyway, because of our huge student loan debt, my husband doesn't want to purchase a new computer until we have our debts paid down. Thanks for the opportunity to win and if you'd like to check my husband's campaign website, here it is: http://www.travisclowers.com
First I would like to thank you for the chance to enter this contest and explain my reasons for wanting it.
I was working for a small company and always wanted to have my own company, but alas that has not happened yet. I then met this wonderful woman, Donna who turned out to be the love of my life, and we dated for awhile, and then as many, differed apart, only to rediscover one another sometime later. She has become my wife, partner and best of all my true friend. We have been blessed with a wonderful daughter the past 22 years. But, the story takes a nasty twist, not the fairy tale that we wanted from each other.
I moved up in the company that I worked for, and was asked to take over the Atlantic region of the company, we talked for many hours and decided to give it a shot and move from New England to the Maryland/Virginia are for me. We took our daughter with us and packed a truck, hopped in the cab and took off for our new adventure. Donna did this for me; she has done many things for me to advance my career. Dinners, socials, trade shows, meetings, and long hours of being alone in a strange area (she grew up in New England)…..all for me.
Then the worst happened, the dr’s appointment that was,” we need to talk to you both”. We went to see the doctor in Annapolis, and now it wasn’t about me, it was about her. All about her.
Donna has put her career on hold for me, trying to start her own professional photography business , working in day care and raising our daughter, to volunteering at various animal rescue groups were ever we have lived. She has spent countless hours organizing, trapping, soliciting and even fostering the sick and infirmed animals that no one wanted until they got better and ready for adoption. She has photographed families that could afford family portraits, or even school type pictures for free in our area. But now, it was time that she had to focus on herself. I had to leave my job to care for her as well as our daughter. I gave up a high paying job, our house, moved back to New England, family, friends to care for her throughout her illness, over the past five years she has endured countless procedures, operations, spinal taps, blood tests, MRI’s, cat scans, poked and prodded, multiple doctors. This past January after a last ditch effort to stop all this, we found a wonderful doctor that has sent her into a state of remission. No more treatments, no more pills no more….”what next” to having my friend, my partner and best of all my wife back.
As she starts to try and get back on track and start her life over. She has hopes of starting her own business as well as I do too. I have been working on acquiring a landscape construction business as Donna is trying to restart her photography business, all the while still volunteering to help animal rescue groups in our area, with all her organizing skills.
This computer will be used for both our businesses, mostly Donnas, to store, plan and work on her photography work, and to help develop the different animal rescue groups that she loves to participate in. The computer will benefit non – profit organizations that care for cats and dogs that will be taken in to no-kill shelters as well as no-kill foster care programs that Donna volunteers for. Most of the work has to be done at home. This is due to the fact that she still is unable to drive and spend too much time on her feet as of yet. We could use this computer since we have moved into a small town house and have little room with our daughter, German shepherd dog, 2 adoptive cats, 2 foster cats and 4 foster kittens.
If you chose us as the winners we would be using the computer for our personal/business as well as for no-kill /non-profit organizations in our local area. This computer will not only benefit our family, but many people as well as many animals in the future.
